JPA will be the premier educational institution of Cambodia and competitive with the best schools worldwide. The school will graduate well educated Cambodians who will continue their education successfully in respected tertiary institutions in the US and other developed countries.
At the center of our vision is a challenging curriculum, taught by effective teachers and supported by adequate facilities. However, our mission commits us to nurturing students who will benefit not only themselves but also their families and the country. This entails an effective character education component emphasizing leadership and service. JPA prefects – students with special responsibilities – play a role in running the school, organizing competitions and assemblies. We also have a student council that helps set school policy.
It is important to us that students retain their links with their families and their culture. We do not have boarding facilities at the junior level so students return to their homes each day. Several times a year we host open houses where our students can show their parents what they have achieved. Parents’ pride in their children’s achievement is demonstrated by the extremely high attendance rate at JPA, exceeding 99.5%.
JPA offers educational opportunities to students from low income families that they would not have otherwise. Our school is completely free of charge to bright children in our area. We aim to produces graduates who are academically successful and who have the sense of social responsibility needed to create a better future for us all.
